During September, Wolsak & Wynn's own Alexis von Konigslow helmed the Open Book Toronto blog as Writer in Residence. The quirky spirit behind The Capacity for Infinite Happiness, a novel about love, math, Harpo Marx and long-held family secrets, turned her attention to motherhood, the writing process, the intersection between science and literature, and why WebMD can be dangerous when you have a crying baby in your arms.
As the mother of a son exactly one week older than Alexis's, I was especially interested in her post about a literary will. I've since started one for my son and it is growing almost faster than he is! But whether she was interviewing other authors and scientists, exploring bibliotherapy or just sharing a little of what's on her mind, her honesty and insight make each post a worthwhile read.
If you missed any or all of Alexis's post on Open Book Toronto, fear not! You can still read them in the Author Blog archives.
And if you haven't already, don't forget to pick up your copy of The Capacity of Infinite Happiness.
