Catherine Graham takes part in the Poet Summit -- alongside Gary Geddes, Adam Sol and many others -- at the International Festival of Authors in Toronto. The event, hosted by CBC's Mary Ito, takes place Saturday, October 25, at 2 p.m. at the Studio Theatre (235 Queens Quay West). Tickets are required.
Christine Fischer Guy appears with Heather O'Neill and Monia Mazigh in "Stronger Than You Seem" at the Ottawa Writers Festival. The reading is hosted by Carleton University's Susan Birkwood and takes place Saturday, October 25, at 6:30 p.m. at the Knox Presbyterian Church on Lisgar Street (at Elgin). Tickets are required.
Senior Editor Paul Vermeersch is also appearing at the Ottawa Writers Festival as part of ARC Poetry's Canada/Australia event, being held Sunday, October 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the Fox and Feather (2nd floor), 283 Elgin Street. The event is free.
Finally, for our friends south of the border, Claire Caldwell will be reading at Berl's Poetry Shop in Brooklyn, alongside Erica Lewis, Betsy Andrews and A.H. Jerriod Avant. The event takes place Saturday, October 25, from 7 to 9 p.m.
